A thank you from MSS and Zoe’s Place!

The Zoe’s Place Christmas Appeal has ended for another year, and what a year it has been.

MSS and Zoe’s Place have been more than overwhelmed with your generosity this year. The final total of gifts bought from our Amazon wish list is 136, with a donation of £217.80 raised from our signed Middlesbrough shirt raffle.

We cannot thank you enough for your contribution and support throughout this year’s Appeal.

Sue Fox, from Zoe’s Place, says she cannot thank MSS Members enough.

“This is the 6th year running now that we have been lucky enough to be supported by the Middlesbrough Supporters South forum and their generosity never ceases to amaze us. There are some wonderful charities on Teesside so to be chosen once again means a lot to us.”

“The toys and gifts we have received mean we can make sure all our children have an extra gift at Christmas. A huge thank you to everyone involved in the organising as well as everyone who has taken the time to choose and donate a gift.”

“On behalf of all the children, families and staff at Zoe’s Place we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!”

Kate Grace, who managed the MSS Christmas Appeal this year, says the success of the 2016 Appeal has been unbelievable.

“The Christmas Appeal is something we are really proud of and, on behalf of the Committee, I’d like to thank all of the MSS Members who donated gifts and contributed to the raffle before the Hull City match.”

“To nearly double the amount donated in 2015 has been fantastic and we hope we’ve helped make Christmas special for children and families at Zoe’s Place. The charity holds a special place in our hearts and we look forward to running more charity events with MSS throughout 2017.”

Earlier this week we sent Committee Member, Leila Abidi, and David Grace (Kate’s brother – pictured) to meet Sue, Rachel and the children at Zoe’s Place.

Once again, a huge well done and thank you for your contributions, we cannot express how much this will make the children smile extra bright this Christmas.

From all of the Committee here at Middlesbrough Supporters South we wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

The MSS Christmas Appeal in aid of Zoe’s Place is back for its seventh year!zoes-place-logo

For the previous 6 years this appeal has been run by MSS member Johnathan Gallagher. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Johnathan for all of his input and help over these years and for making the previous MSS Christmas Appeal’s such a success.

The 2016 MSS Christmas Appeal will be run by committee member Kate Grace who has continued the theme of setting up a wish list on Amazon for you to look through.

Take a look at the Amazon Wishlist

Once you have decided what you would like to donate to the cause, simply click, pay and it will be posted directly to Zoe’s Place ready for Christmas. In order for the items to be delivered in time for Christmas the guy’s at Zoe’s Place have asked for items to be ordered by Friday December 16th.

Zoe’s Place is a beautiful children’s hospice based in Normanby, Middlesbrough who do a lot of great work providing much needed respite and hospice care to children aged 0-5 years.

They not only care for the children in need, but also offer great support for the children’s parents, siblings and extended family throughout their difficult times.

Everyone on the MSS committee agrees that this is an amazing organisation who do their upmost to help and support those most at need on Teesside.

It gives us great pleasure to be able to donate and support Zoe’s Place and hopefully we can help to bring a little magic to the children they are caring for this Christmas.

We thank you in advance for all of your kind donations.

Thank you to everyone who has donated to this year’s appeal. We are very close to beating 2015’s total donations. Please help us make Christmas 2016 really special for children and families at Zoe’s Place Middlesbrough.

Deadline for the appeal is Midnight on Friday 16th December.
