It could be argued that the recent international break tempered our early season momentum somewhat, especially when you compare our pre-break performances against West Brom and Leeds, with the sluggish performance against Norwich on Saturday. Thankfully we have an instant opportunity to make amends as we host Bolton. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub to see if we can bounce back from our first league defeat.
We’ve booked The Dog & Truck for the screening of this Wednesday’s (19th September) clash with Bolton Wanderers. Kick off is at 19:45pm.
For more info join the Facebook event.
The address is 72 Back Church Ln, E1 1LX. The pub is about 10 minutes walk from Aldgate and Aldgate East, and about 15 minutes walk from Tower Hill, Tower Gateway, and Shadwell.
The pub has plenty of indoor TV screens, as well as outdoor TV’s for those who want to grab some fresh air while watching this top of the table clash.
This screening is open to all Boro fans. Hope to see plenty of you there. UTB!
Mini Match Pack
Boro come into this game licking our wounds after our first defeat of the season at Norwich City, a result that saw us slip from second to fourth. However, we remain unbeaten at home and have only lost three times at the Riverside during 2018.
Bolton were the surprise package of the first few weeks, picking up ten points in their first four games, having only survived on the last day of last season. Their form has slipped in the last three games, however, financial woes appear to be their biggest challenge, with administration a real possibility.
Bolton rarely relish a trip to the Riverside having won only twice in their last 14 visits. Boro have won the last five times we’ve hosted the Trotters, and we’re unbeaten in eight encounters home or away.
