A steely performance by England secured a famous win in Spain, and made the recent international break seem almost worthwhile. Hopefully the break will have given Boro time to iron out the flaws shown in our disappointing home defeat to Nottingham Forest, and allow us to reinforce our promotion credentials when we visit Sheffield Wednesday. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub this Friday to see if we can show our metal, and move back to the Championship summit.
We’ve booked The Dog & Truck for the screening of this Friday’s (19th October) clash with Sheffield Wednesday. Kick off is at 19:45pm.
For more info join the Facebook event.
The address is 72 Back Church Ln, E1 1LX. The pub is about 10 minutes walk from Aldgate and Aldgate East, and about 15 minutes walk from Tower Hill, Tower Gateway, and Shadwell.
The pub has plenty of indoor TV screens, as well as outdoor TV’s for those who want to grab some fresh air while watching this top of the table clash.
This screening is open to all Boro fans. Hope to see plenty of you there. UTB!
Mini Match Pack
Boro showed inconsistent form after the first international break of the season, with two wins, two draws, and two defeats; a run Tony Pulis will not want to repeat. Defeat in our last game against Forest prevented us from securing top spot going into the recent break.
Sheffield Wednesday are unbeaten in four coming into this game. This includes two home draws against high flying Leeds United and West Brom. Despite these credible draws they’ve only beaten struggling Millwall and Ipswich Town at home, both at the back end of August.
Boro are unbeaten in five against Wednesday, and have won on each of our last two visits to Hillsborough. The same fixture last year proved to be the final game of the Garry Monk reign, even though Boro came from behind to secure a late 2-1 win via a Shotton header. It was also the final game for Carlos Carvalhal’s as Owls manager.
