QPR Match Pack!

December hasn’t been the season of good cheer for the Boro. No wins in three have seen us drop down to sixth, and more importantly we’ve fallen several points behind Norwich and Leeds.

We head to West London this weekend to take on Steve McClaren’s Queens Park Rangers side. Hopefully the R’s will be feeling festive enough to allow us the three points to kick-start our promotion charge.

Pubs and Travel
Boro head to Loftus Road (W12 7PJ) this coming Saturday (15th December) to take on QPR. Kick-off is at 3:00pm.

The best way to the ground is via the Tube. White City (Central Line) and Wood Lane (Circle – Hammersmith branch and Hammersmith and City Line) are both five minutes walk from the ground.

For those looking to join the MSS at our suggested pubs then it’s better to get off at Shepherd’s Bush (Central Line) or Shepherd’s Bush Market (Circle – Hammersmith branch and Hammersmith and City Line), which are both still a short walk from the ground.

The MSS has chosen The Sindercombe Social as its designated pub, however, we’d suggest getting their early doors as it fills up quickly on match days. If the Sindercombe is busy then we’d recommend the Shepherd and Flockwhich is just round the corner. Failing that the Belushi’s by Shepherd’s Bush station has always been popular on match days.

We hope to see you there UTB!

Mini Match Pack

Boro come into this game on the back of a poor run. No wins in three since our victory over Brentford in late November has seen Boro crash from the brink of the summit down to sixth. However, we’ve still only lost once on the road, at mid-season pace setters Norwich City, and we’ve only conceded seven goals in the process.

Queens Park Rangers are looking to be a classic case of inconsistent Championship mediocrity. An unbeaten October, which included a win over Villa and draw with Derby, saw them edge towards the brink of the play-offs.

However, recent form has dragged them back down the table. They’ve lost their last three, including a defeat at home to Hull in their last outing. The R’s top scorer is Boro’s summer transfer target Luke Freeman (5 goals).

Boro have won their last four against QPR. This includes a George Friend screamer in a 3-0 victory at Loftus Road last season, and a 3-2 win in West London during the closing stages of the Karanka promotion season.
