The MSS Committee are looking for fresh blood to join us and help keep the MSS running smoothly throughout the 2019-2020 season and beyond.
Here’s an overview of the responsibilities that the MSS Committee share:
- Arranging, publicising, and confirming the numbers for, live match screenings at the Dog and Truck
- Sourcing, arranging, and confirming away-friendly pubs for Boro fans to wet their whistle at before away games
- Helping organise transport to certain away days (including the ever popular MSS boat)
- Supporting raffle draws and other initiatives to raise money for Zoe’s Place, the MSS’ nominated charity
- Assisting with email sends and website updates
- Helping manage the MSS social media channels
- Acting as a link between the Committee and the MSS sports teams
- Attending the MSS monthly meeting as often as possible
So if you’re keen to get involved then email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or drop us a message on Facebook or Twitter with a quick blurb about yourself.
We’ll then be in touch to discuss next steps which will likely involve you attending one of our monthly meetings.
December hasn’t been the season of good cheer for the Boro. No wins in three have seen us drop down to sixth, and more importantly we’ve fallen several points behind Norwich and Leeds.
We head to West London this weekend to take on Steve McClaren’s Queens Park Rangers side. Hopefully the R’s will be feeling festive enough to allow us the three points to kick-start our promotion charge.
It’s that time of year where we send all of our love and support from MSS to Zoe’s Place.
Having supported Zoe’s Place for several years now I’m sure we all know about the amazing work that this Teesside based baby and children’s hospice undertakes. The staff provide first-class care and support for very sick children and their affected families.
Each year MSS donate gifts to Zoe’s Place so that the children can receive a little bit of joy this Christmas. This year is no different!
Just click the link below and purchase one, or as many gifts as you can, and they’ll be posted straight to Zoe’s Place, ready to wrap and give out to these incredible children.

Closing date is Friday 14th December. Thanks as always for your support.
The final international break of 2018 has been and gone. That means it’s wall to wall football for the remainder of the year. Nine games in less than 40 days, and a (touch wood) favourable looking set of fixtures await the Boro before we kick off 2019 away at Derby County. Here’s all the information you need ahead of our first match of the Christmas run-in; this Saturday’s afternoon trip to Brentford.
Boro completed the ultimate snatch and grab last weekend when gaining a point at home to Derby. But who really needs shots on target when the opposition are willing to put through their own net? Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub this Saturday for the Tony Pulis derby; here’s hoping they’re as charitable when it comes to scoring own goals.
Boro were blunt up front in mid-week against Rotherham, with a 0-0 draw costing us our hold of top spot. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub for the early kick-off tomorrow to see if we can do better against fellow promotion contenders Derby County.
Boro moved back to the Championship summit on Friday night with a hard fought victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub tomorrow to see if we can secure our place as league leaders.
A steely performance by England secured a famous win in Spain, and made the recent international break seem almost worthwhile. Hopefully the break will have given Boro time to iron out the flaws shown in our disappointing home defeat to Nottingham Forest, and allow us to reinforce our promotion credentials when we visit Sheffield Wednesday. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub this Friday to see if we can show our metal, and move back to the Championship summit.
A controversial penalty denied Boro all three points at Hull at the weekend, and as such prevented us from ascending to the Championship summit. In fact, our inconsistent form since the international break has cost the Boro our top two place, with free-scoring West Brom overtaking us and Leeds to take top spot.
Thankfully we have an instant opportunity to make amends as we travel to winless Ipswich Town. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub this Tuesday to see if we can get back to winning ways on the road.
It could be argued that the recent international break tempered our early season momentum somewhat, especially when you compare our pre-break performances against West Brom and Leeds, with the sluggish performance against Norwich on Saturday. Thankfully we have an instant opportunity to make amends as we host Bolton. Join the MSS at the Dog and Truck pub to see if we can bounce back from our first league defeat.
